pertinent to the work being performed. Particular care in maintaining accurate notes should be made whenever the ex-
tent of work required has been in dispute. These records, taken at the time, are acceptable as evidence of factual condi-
tions, are acceptable to the Contracting Officer in settling disputes and are of special importance in the event of claims
for additional compensation or liability.
(7)  Submit weekly progress reports, through his supervisor to the contracting officer indicating percentage of
progress accomplished and information relative to the Contractor's ability to meet schedules completion dates.
(8)  Schedule all tests and trial runs with Contractor's personnel in order that they may be accomplished
within the regular work day with the least amount of disruption of Government and Contractor's regular work schedules.
(9)  Report to his supervisor all information coming to his attention of conditions in the plant of the Contractor
which are detrimental to the interests of the Government. Such reports should state the source of the information, and
will cover applicable matters such as:
(a)  Use of supplies of substandard quality.
(b)  Furnishing of used or surplus material.
(c)  Failure to meet delivery schedules.
(d)  Any treatment or manipulation of supplies and equipment inconsistent with approved practices.
(e)  Interference with Government inspections.
(f)  Threats of violence or action to remove an Inspector with intent to intimidate an Inspector, or to in-
fluence an Inspector's decision.
(g)  Bribery or attempted bribery.
(h)  Offering of favors of any kind with the intent to influence the Inspector's decision.
(i)  Factors contributing to a decline in production.
(j)  Evidence of sabotage, espionage, subversive activities, etc.
(k)  Evidence of intent to defraud.
(l)  Actual or potential labor troubles detrimental to the Government's interests.
Written narrative type reports in single copy are submitted as occasion demands.
(10) The Surveyor may, in an advisory manner, assist the Contractor in making improvements in his work or
production methods and procedures. In this connection, Surveyors will not disclose to any competitor a Contractor's
method or procedures without the express authority of the Contractor. The Inspector will not offer advice in such a man-
ner that the Government can be held responsible for work performance failures.
