MK2 WITH CUMMINS ENGINE
WARNING
Do not allow fuel to enter the bilges. Fuel is flammable and
could explode.
a.
Fuel water separator filter (1). Open engine and battery compartment hatches
and secure them. Close off two fuel shutoff valves (2). Loosen drain plug (3) in
the bottom of the fuel water separator filters and drain contents of filters into
a suitable container. Do not drain contents of filters into the bilges.
Disassemble filters and clean and inspect for damage. Install new gaskets (4)
and assemble filters. Clean up spilled fuel.
NOTE
Perform step b for MK1 or MK2 with Sabre engine. Perform
step b.1 for MK2 with Cummins engine.

Fuel filter (5) (on engines). Remove drain plug (6) from bottom of fuel filters
and drain contents of filter into a suitable container. Do not drain filters into
the bilges. Disassemble filters and clean and inspect for damage. Install new
filter elements (7) and gaskets (8) and assemble the filters. Clean up spilled
fuel. Open the two fuel shutoff valves and bleed fuel system. Check for and
correct fuel leaks.

Lubricity filter (10) (on engine compartment outer structure frames) and fuel
filter (on engines). Using a suitable container, slowly open valve (9) at bottom
of two lubricity filter (10) and drain 4 to 6 oz (113 to 170 g) of fuel from each
filter, then close valves. If water is present or if performing semiannual
maintenance, replace lubricity filters (10) and fuel filters (11) (refer to
c.
Fuel feed and return lines, valves, pumps, and vent. Check for fuel leaks,
loose connections, and crushed or kinked lines and hoses.
