INSTALLATION

Lubricate cylinder walls and
pistons before installation. Use
ring compressor 326592 to
compress piston rings.

Follow steps 23-29,
CAUTION
Rods and caps have fracture
joints that must match per-
fectly. Snug rod cap screws
and feel machined surface of
rod with finger nail. If align-
ment is not perfect, tap rod
cap lightly with a mallet from
several directions and snug
screws again when alignment
is correct, torque screws to
29-31 ft. lb. (40-42 Nm).
