Check that motor does not rotate.

5. Motor runs hot.

Check for overloads.
Check for low fluid level in tank.

Check for frequent starts and stops.
a. Check for intermittent power.
b. Too many starts and stops.
6. Motor runs slow.

Check for defective pump.

Check for a burnt out motor.

Check for lack of fluid in tank.
