3-32.2. OIL BREATHER - MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS.
NOTE
Harmful vapors which may be formed within the engine are removed
from the crankcase, gear train, and valve compartment by a continuous
pressurized ventilation system.
An oil breather is mounted on the flywheel housing. The breather contains a filter element which traps oil
particles. The oil drains back into the crankcase. The vapor is pulled into the engine air intake through the air
silencers.
