NOTE
When the engine is operating at idle speed or above, the air shut-down valve will completely
close off the air from the engine, causing it to stop. However, when the engine is operating at
the very low speeds that are necessary when performing the test on the fuel shut-down switch
and the lubricating oil shut- down switch, the air shut-down solenoid will close the valve, but the
engine may continue to run very slowly. This may be due to Insufficient force exerted on the
back of the valve by the low air flow needed to completely close the shut-down valve.
