1-42. PROPULSION ENGINE.
a. The Main Propulsion Engine (Figure 1-30) is a 12 cylinder V-71 Detroit Diesel. The engine is equipped with an oil
cooler, lubricating oil filter, fuel oil strainer, fuel oil filter, air silencers, governor, heat exchanger, raw water pump and a
hydrostarter.
