Step 3.
Check for faulty injectors, timing and the position of the injector racks.
Refer to paragraph 3-31.
Erratic engine operation may also be caused by leaking injector spray tips. Replace the
faulty injectors. Refer to paragraph 3-15.
Step 4.
Check for low compression pressures within the cylinders.
Consult the Hard Starting table 3-2 if compression pressures are low.
