MALFUNCTION

TEST OR INSPECTION

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Loss of fluid from pump.

Step 1.

Inspect for leaky pipe connections.

Check all lines and connections. Be sure no rubbing or excess vibration is present. Have

system under pressure when looking for leaks.

Step 2.

Inspect for leaking gaskets.

Check all bolts clamping gasketed cover while system is under pressure.

Lack of pressure.

Step 1.

Check to see pump speed is not same as engine.

Check key in shaft.

Step 2.

Check for dirt inside pump.

a. Check filter on hydraulic tank.

b. Drain oil, disassemble pump and clean.

Step 3.

Inspect for defective drive gears.

Replace.
