NOTES
The face of the top half of the upper oil control ring used on
V-71N engines is chrome-plated.
The scraping edges of all oil control rings must face
downward (toward the bottom of the piston) for proper oil
control.
If there is a noticeable resistance during installation of the
piston, check for an overlapped ring expander.
