IGNITION TIMING
a. Spark plug wires
Remove from spark plugs.

Remove.

d. Screws (4), and

lockwashers (5)
e. Starter pulley
Remove.
(6)
f.
Fan pulley (7),
Move.
and belt (8)
When adjusting the stator assembly, take care not to damage
the coil windings.
g. Stator assembly
1. Loosen the stator assembly
(9)
mounting screws (10) through
the holes in the flywheel (11).
To correct timing, rotate the
stator assembly as required
(clockwise to retard the timing;
counterclockwise to advance the
timing).
2. Tighten the stator assembly
mounting screws (10).
