2. Hand Pump
Loosen discharge connection
See figure 2-13
and operate hand pump slowly
until all air is expelled.
Retighten connection.
3. Engine
a. With the engine running at
Driven Pump
1500 rpm or more, loosen the
hose connection at pump
outlet elbow until a full
stream of oil is discharged.
b. Connect the hose to the pump
and alternately loosen and
tighten the swivel fitting on
the discharge hose until the
oil leaking out, when fitting
is loose, appears free of air
bubbles.
