l. Start the driven gear (2)
straight on the end of the
driven shaft (3) with the
protruding end of gear hub
facing down and with the
splines in alignment, push
the gear tight against the
spacer (39).
m. Place the driven gear lockwasher
(11) over-the end of the driven
shaft (3) and against the driven
gear (2). If the old lockwasher
is being reused, place the bent
over edges of washers over flats
on hub of gear.
n. Lubricate the threads on driven
shaft (3) with engine oil, then
thread the retaining nut (12)
tight against the lockwasher
(11). Do not tighten at this
time.
