Tighten the clutch drive adaptor,
and the clutch driving ring
attaching bolts at this time to
30-35 lb-ft (40.7-47.5 Nm)
u. Install the clutch pilot bearing
(5) and bearing retainer (6) in
the clutch drive coupling and
flange assembly (4) as follows:
1.
Lubricate the outside diameter
of the clutch pilot bearing
with engine oil. Then, start
the bearing, shielded side of
bearing up, straight into the
bearing retainer.
2.
Place the bearing retainer
and pilot bearing on the bed
of an arbor press, pilot
bearing side up. Then place
a round steel plate slightly
smaller than the inside
diameter of the bearing
retainer on top of the
bearing and under the ram of
the press. Then, press the
bearing straight into and
against the shoulder in the
retainer.
