TEST BATTERIES (Continued).

RE-CONNECT LEADS TO BATTERY TERMINALS.

CAUTION

Always observe polarity with direct current systems. Ensure that

negative terminals of both the battery and alternator are the same.

Reversing battery terminal connections will destroy rectifier diodes in

the alternator.

First connect positive battery lead (3) to positive

terminal of battery (2). Then connect negative

battery lead (1 ) to negative terminal of battery

(2).

Install battery cover.
