Hydraulic Power Pack Assembly
Give the hydraulic power pack assembly and the Assembly
winch control valve manifold assembly a thorough
visual inspection: Look for anything that is leaking,
loose, broken, torn, missing, or out of the ordinary. Secure,
repair, or replace defective components.
5
Ramp Sheaves
Refer to LO 55-1905-223-12, Lubrication Order.
Lubricate the ramp sheaves.
6
Reservoir Tank
Pressure and temperature variations occur during hydraulic
system operation. These variations result in condensation
of water from the air in the reservoi r tank. Differences in the
specific gravities of water and hydraulic fluid cause water
to collect in the bottom of the reservoir tank. To prevent
rust and hydraulic fluid deterioration, the water must be
removed as follows:
(1)
Turn off electric motor in hydraulic power pack assembly.
Tag the three control panels, "Out of Service -
Do Not Operate."
(2)
Locate the magnetic drain plug at bottom of reservoir tank.
(3)
Place a suitable container under the magnetic drain plug.
(4)
Remove the filler cap/air breather.
