Separate motor and pump from piping flange (11).
Remove gasket (14).
i.
Remove motor (2) and pump (3).
j.
Repair of centrifugal pump unit consists of replacing: motor (2), pump (3).
NOTE
Four soldiers are required for motor and
pump installation.
a. Position motor and pump on foundation.
b.
Install gasket (14) between pump and piping flange (11).
Slide motor and pump towards flange (11) with mounting screw holes aligned
c.
with flange, motor and pump.
d.
Secure pump (3) to foundation with four hexhead capscrews (15), washers (16),
lockwashers (17) and hex plain nuts (18).
Secure motor (2) to foundation with four hexhead capscrews (22), washers
e.
(21), lo&washers (20) and hex plain nuts (19).
Separate flanges (9), (10) to install gasket (4).
f.
Secure piping flange (9) to pump flange (10) with four hexhead capscrews (5),
g.
washers (6), lockwashers (7) and hex plain nuts (8).
Install insulating shroud over discharge piping on outlet side of pump.
h.
Remove "Out of Service" tags and open pump suction (S.W.-3) and discharge
i.
(S.W.-6).
Remove tags and connect electrical leads at junction box (1) on motor.
j.
k. Remove tags and restore power to pump unit.
Run pump to test for correct rotation and leaks.
