REMOVAL
WARNING
Doors weigh approximately 100 pounds. To
prevent personal injury at least two
soldiers should handle door.
NOTE
Removal/replacement procedures for both left
and right hand doors are the same.
Remove (if installed) grounding straps (6, FIGURE 2-170) from hinge blades
a.
(2) and from bulkhead.
b.
Open door (1).
NOTE
When loosening dogs in watertight doors,
those dogs nearest the hinges should be
loosened first.  This prevents the door from
springing and makes it easier to operate the
remaining dogs.
