REMOVAL
a. Release brake by turning handle (3, Figure 3-12) fully clockwise.
b. Remove oil drain screw (4) and drain oil.
c. Remove three screws (1) and remove revolution indicator housing (2).
NOTE
Refer to Figure 3-13 for remaining removal procedures.
d. Loosen three machine screws (23) on worm wheel assembly (24). Hold clutch (6) down to prevent
worm wheel shaft (13) from turning.
e. Slide worm wheel (15) right to disengage from worm spindle (not shown).
f. Loosen threaded pin (1) and slide clutch driver (2) and clutch shoes (3) out of clutch drum (6) and off
worm wheel shaft.
g. Remove socket head screw (4) and flatwasher (5) from worm wheel shaft.
h. Install pressure piece on end of clutch drum (6) at motor end and screw in to force clutch drum off
worm wheel shaft.
i. Separate clutch drum from worm wheel shaft (13). Remove pressure piece.
