Heat the water to activate the temperature

Replace sensing unit if necessary.
Check the lubricating oil pressure sending device..

Check for oil leakage from the sender. Replace
if required.

Check for broken or disconnected wire. Repair
as required.

With the wire disconnected from the sender,
check resistance from the terminal post to
equipment ground (metal chassis). If the read-
ing is not between 227 to 257 ohms, replace.

Injectors
Replace injectors (paragraph 2-40).

Fuel Pump
Replace the fuel pump (paragraph 2-37).

Water Pump
Replace the water pump (paragraph 2-33).

Turbocharger Bearing
Check the bearing radial and axial clearances.

Remove the shield and piping from the turbo-

Measure the axial (end-to-end) clearance of the
shaft with a dial indicator. Clearance should be
no greater than 0.018 inch (0.46 mm).
