(1) Install two 5/8-18 x 6 inch guide studs in the crankshaft flange (3, Figure 3-61).
(2) Install two T-handles (1) in the flywheel.
WARNING
Because the flywheel weighs more than 50 lb (23 kg), two soldiers or a hoist will be
required to lift the flywheel to avoid personal injury.
(3) Install the flywheel assembly (9, Figure 3-62) on the guide studs.
(4) Lubricate the threads of the capscrews (11) and the surface of the flat washers (10) with lubricating
oil.
(5) Install the four capscrews (11) and washers (10).
(6) Remove the T-handles (1, Figure 3-61) and the guide studs (3).
(7) Install the remaining two capscrews in the holes from which the guide studs were removed.
