If burrs or other damage cannot be removed with a fine crocus cloth, replace the

camshaft.

Measure the camshaft nose in the gear press fit area (Figure 4-27).

(3) Install the gear onto the camshaft.

Table 4-9 lists the camshaft key degree of offset, and the approximate injector

timing change from nominal.
