Throttle Linkage

Check for binding, loose fittings, and other obstructions/hat affect

the smooth operation of the throttle throughout its range.

Adjust as necessary:

a. Remove the throttle linkage from the throttle lever.

b. Hold the lever in the idle position. Move the linkage to the

idle position.

c. If the lever and linkage are not aligned, adjust the linkage.

d. Move the lever and linkage to the maximum speed position.

e. If the lever and linkage are not aligned, adjust the linkage.

f. Install the linkage on the lever.

NOTE

The throttle linkage must be able to reach minimum and maximum

stops during remote operation.

Check for exhaust leaks and correct as required.

Check for corrosion and clean as required.
