REMOVAL
WARNING
A hoist must be used to support and lift the engine when removing the gear housing
assembly. It must be firmly in place before removing the mounting capscrews.
CAUTION
Apply just enough lift to the hoist so that the housing (2, FIGURE 3-47) can be
removed.
a.
Remove the capscrews (4) and lockwasher (3) from the engine supports (1).
b.
Remove the housing (2).
