DISASSEMBLY
a.
Disassemble the engine connectings rods as follows (1, FIGURE 4-31):
(1)
Remove the machine bolts (10) and separate the connecting rod (1).
(2)
Remove the bearings (11).
(3)
Mark the cylinder number and the letter "u" in the flat surface of the
bearing tang.
(4)
Remove the (dowel) pins (12) from the connecting rods (1).
b.
Use the piston ring expander to remove the piston rings (FIGURE 4-32) .
