REMOVAL (Refer to FIGURE 4-42).
NOTE
The gear cover and oil pan assemblies must be removed from
the  engine  before  removing  the  crankshaft  assembly
(paragraphs 3-42 and 3-26).

Remove the engine main bearings (5 thru 10) and thrust bearings (11), as follows:
CAUTION
The main bearing caps are marked for position on the camshaft
side and the cylinder block identification on the exhaust side.
Mark any caps that are not marked before removing them from
the cylinder block.
