TOOLS AND TEST EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT DATA
This appendix includes the tools and test equipment,
character number assigned to items of supply which are
listed alphanumerically, required to support electronics
repetitively used, purchased, stocked or distributed within
systems and components. Commercial items are listed
the Federal Supply System.

Line Item Number (LIN): A six character alphanumeric
furnished, if available and where applicable:
identification of a generic nomenclature and of the line
on which the generic nomenclature is listed in SB 700-20
Type Number: Self explanatory.

Nomenclature: A noun or brief descriptive group of
Source Of Supply (SOS): A three character Routing
terms which designates the family name of the item.
Identifier Code which identifies the activity having item
management responsibility and to which requisitions
should be directed.
