PUSH BUTTON OR CONTROL
FUNCTION

PWR/VOLUME KEY
Turns power on and off. Adjusts speaker volume level.

SQUELCH KEY
Sets the threshold level of received signals that will produce audio
output from the speaker.

MICROPHONE PUSH TO
Press the push to talk button to transmit. Release button to receive.
TALK BUTTON
A transmit timer limits continuous transmission to 5 minutes.

16 KEY
Sets the DSC VHF/FM transceiver to transmit and receive on
channel 16 and overrides any other function when pressed.

NUMBER KEYS
Used for channel selection and entry of numeric values.

LETTER KEYS
Used for entry of names into directories.

UP ARROW KEY
Used to select the next higher channel number or move selection
bar upward in menus.

DOWN ARROW KEY
Used to select the next lower channel number or move selection
bar downward in menus.
9
WEATHER KEY
Allows 10 weather channels to be selected individually
or scanned.

U/I KEY
USA or International. Selects USA or International
frequency sets.

SCAN KEY
Displays SCAN SELECTION menu. Choose MEMORY SCAN,
ALL CHANNELS or SCAN REVIEW.
