Fully extend the mast sections (4) by gently tilting the SART (1) forward until the mast sections (4) slide out.

Lock each section of the mast sections (4) by pulling and twisting each section.
NOTE
If the battery replacement date has passed, or will expire before the next test or during the
next mission, the battery must be replaced.
4.
Rotate the switch (5) counterclockwise to the test position (6) and hold in position until the green indicator
light (7) remains illuminated.

NOTE
The duration of the test should be as short as possible to prolong the life of the batte.
If the green light (7) fails to illuminate, the SART (1) has failed the self-test and the battery
must be replaced.
5.
Rotate the switch (5) clockwise to the OFF position (8).
