Perform all operator PMCS first
WARNING
When hatch covers are opened, make sure securing latches
are installed and latched in place. Before closing hatch
covers, make sure your head and fingers are clear of the
opening. Failure to heed this warning may result in death
or injury.
WARNING
Do not get acidic water from batteries or battery boxes in
eyes or on skin or clothing. This may result in injury. If
spilled on personnel, immediately start flushing affected
area with clean water and continue until given medical
assistance.
CAUTION
Do not get acidic water from batteries or battery boxes on
aluminum parts of boat (hull, decks, hatches, etc). This may
result in corrosive deterioration of aluminum parts.
CAUTION
Charge batteries for 1 hour after adding water when
temperatures may go below freezing 32F (0C).
NOTE
To ensure readiness of a boat placed in storage, you should
maintain the batteries at a full charge, perform all the
PMCS quarterly, launch the boat, and check the
systems/components for proper operation.
