5-29.1. VOLTAGE REGULATOR-MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS (Continued).

(4) Build-up Circuit Test .

(a) Connect the regulator as shown below, and adjust the single-phase input to V3ni the Test

Voltage Table. The output voltage should not be less than 0.5 volt.

(b) Increase the input to V4 in the Test Voltage Table. The output voltage should rise to a peak

and then drop to approximately zero as the input voltage is increased to the test limit.

(5) CF field Circuit Test . Connect the regulator as shown below and apply 25 volts ac to terminals 11

and 12. The output current should not be less than 0.35 amp.
