CAUTION
The exciter field is attached to the end frame, and the rotating rectifier assembly is
attached to the shaft. Protect the rotating rectifier assembly.

NOTE
Check bearing (21) by turning the outer race with the fingers. If the bearing feels
rough, turns hard, or sticks in spots, replace the bearing. If the bearing needs
replacement proceed. If the bearing is good go to steps.
