3. Pressure
It is recommended that not more than 1/32 inch be
plate
machined from the pressure plate friction surface.
If more than this amount or any portion thereof is
removed, clutch should be reassembled using hole "A"
of toggle link. IMPORTANT: when machining amounts
in excess of .0312 inch it is absolutely essential
that the resurfaced dimension "B" 1.470 inch be
obtained and clutch be reassembled using hole "B"
of toggle link. "Dimension B" is the dimension
from the top of the pin to the friction surface of
the pressure plate as shown below. It is important
that these instructions be followed, otherwise short
clutch life or incomplete clutch release (drag)
will result.
