Troubleshooting Procedures for Fault Isolation

No power
Check 115V reference voltage
Dial does not respond
supply, check fuses between
Dial lamps are out
indicator and power source.
If fuse is blown, disconnect
and check ship's wiring to
terminals LC and LCC. Check
for shorted power or illumi-
nation transformer. Resist-
ance looking into an indica-
tor at terminals LC and LCC
should be within 20% of 16
ohms .
Dial response is
Improper power
Terminal LC in indicator
meaningless
phase
must connect to same line of
ship's power supply as R1 of
Lamps are lit
synchro transmitter.
Similarly, LCC must connect
to same line as R2. Check
that power is actually
present.
