Step 2. Check for damaged piston or liner.

Inspect the piston and liner and replace damaged parts. Refer to paragraph

3-96.

Step 3. Check for piston rings that are worn or broken.

Install new piston rings. Refer to paragraph 3-96.

2. Breather restriction.

Step 1. Check for obstruction or damage to breather.

Clean and repair or replace the breather assembly. Refer to paragraph 3-
