which start at an oil
hole and follow the
journal surface at
an angle of 450 to
the axis.
2. Inspect for cracks or
wear around keyways.
3. Inspect for overheat-
ing.
4. Inspect the oil seal
for roughness or
grooves.
5. Check the gears for
damage.
INSTALLATION
5. Oil pump
a. Woodruff
Place in crankshaft.

Slide on crankshaft.

The gear should be
tight against the
shoulder on the crank-
shaft.
6. Timing
Install.
Refer to para-
gear
7. Crankshaft
Install in engine.
8. Engine
Replace all assemblies
and parts removed in step
1 above.
