Oil
1.
Coat the lip of the new
seal
oil seal lightly with
(10)
grease or vegetable
seal
shortening. Position the
seal in the front cover
with the lip of the seal
pointed toward the inner
face of cover.
2.
Drive the seal into the
front cover with installer
J9783. The installer
prevents damage to the
seal by exerting force
only on the outer edge
of the seal casing.
3.
Remove excess sealant
from front cover and
seal.
