(3)  If the pump should fail to prime, and it is established that the primer pump is in good operating 
condition, and all suction connections are tight, it may be necessary to clean the check valve from the impeller 
housing to the exhaust receiver. Refer to paragraph 4-7.10. 
(4)  If the pump primes but fails to maintain its prime, primer intake check valve may be leaking.
