4-7.9A. SOLENOID AND ELECTRIC STARTER - MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS.
The engine has a Bendix type electric starting motor. Energy for cranking the starting motor is
provided by a 12-volt battery. As the starter spins, a pinion engages on ring gear on the crankshaft assembly.
