Strainer
Insert.
When replacing
(29)
strainer, insure
that bail is com-
pressed by manifold
cover plate when
plate is in position.
If bail is too short,
grasp sides of bail
so as to elongate it
sufficiently to be
compressed by cover
plate. Insure that
strainer is posi-
tioned so that bail
fits between two
bosses on inside of
cover plate and thus
is restrained from
turning.
NOTE
Remove temporary
felt sock filter
installed inside
suction strainer
after 50 hours
operation. If
felt sock is quite
dirty, clean it
and replace it for
another 50 hours.
Clean suction
strainer whenever
felt sock is re-
moved.
