Two units of the fuel filter/water separator must be in operation
during main engine operation
NOTE
Single units of the fuel filter/water separator may be changed
during engine operation
Vacuum Gage(4) is used to determine if adequate fuel pressure
is available. Fuel Filter/Water Separator service is required
when vacuum is greater than 10 inches Hg (Red Zone)

Remove
0-ring (5) and

b. Drain valve (7)
Remove and drain
unit completely.
Flush unit with
clean diesel fuel.

Bowl retainer
Remove.
If an excessive

Remove
Discard old
gasket and replace
with new one.
