1. Start the gear over

shaft, with the key
in the shaft aligned
with the keyway in
the gear.
2. Then, with the camshaft
support in an arbor
press, place a sleeve
on top of the gear and
press the gear tight
against the shoulder
on the shaft.
NOTE
If an arbor press is not available, use tool J1903 to install the
gear on the camshaft.
