Install.
a. Position bear-
ing so that
chamfered
edge (notched
edge) enters
bearing hous-
ing first and
oil holes in
bearing and
housing are
in line.
b Using puller,
pull bearing
into housing
until posi-
tioned as
shown below.
Edge of bear-
ing is 1/32"
(0.794 cm)
below surface
of bronze
bearing
washer.
c Look through
oil pressure
regulator
opening in
crankcase to
see that oil
passage to
bearing is
not blocked.
d. Check to see
that relief
groove in
bearing is
at the top.
