All tools required for repair/overhaul of Twin Disc marine gear to be made locally in

accordance with instructions contained in technical manual for MG514 Marine Gear

DM-133.

Used only on Detroit Diesel Hydraulic Starting System.

Used only on American Bosch Hydraulic Starting System.

Use Compound (P/N 5198653) (72582) when reassembling fresh water pump.

Adhere to drawing 203-4661553 when disassembling propeller shafts.

Propellers and propeller shaft will be carried on board even though the maintenance

level is not crew/operator, to give the craft the " et home"capability.

General Support units will not attempt in-depth repair of Gyro Compasses. Report

them to the National Maintenance Point (NMP).

No Field repair is authorized on the Remote Magnetic Heading System (RMHS).

Report them to the National Maintenance Point (NMP).

Refer to TM 5-2815-251-14, Detroit Diesel Engines, V-71, Section 1.4.

Replacement of Fuse Cartridge.

Drive Belt Adjustment.

Depot Level Repair/Maintenance will be performed on a case by case basis, subject

to approval and funding by the National Maintenance Point (NMP).
