2-45. GENERATOR ENGINE - LOCAL STOP.
The local stop procedure for either generator #1 or generator #2 must be done after stopping generator operating
parallel or non-parallel.
NOTE
Before shutting down engines, be sure to open generator circuit breaker.
Pull out fuel rod knob (1) on hydraulic governor (2).
2-46. GROUND DETECTOR LIGHTS.
a. Three indicator lights are connected to provide a phase to ground potential across each lamp. When a normal
condition (no ground) exists, an equal voltage is impressed on each of the three lamps causing them to glow with equal
intensity.
b. Should a ground occur on any of the three phases, the voltage across that particular lamp is decreased and the
light intensity decreases. The voltage to the other two lamps is increased and, as a result, these lamps increase in
brightness. This relationship creates the following conditions:
