Engine must be started locally.

Check engine temperature gage (1) on anchor winch control stand (2). Normal coolant temperature is 175to
185 (79.4to 85.0 ). Maximum allowable temperature is 200 (93.3 ).

Check engine oil pressure gage (3) on anchor winch control stand (2). If no pressure is indicated within 15
seconds, stop engine by rotating lever (21) on governor. Check lubrication system. Normal oil pressure is 40
to 55 psi (2812.3 to 3866.9 gm sq cm) at 1200 RPM. Minimum oil pressure is 25 psi (1757.7 gm sq cm).
