Press the START switch on the fire pump controller. The pump will run.

When the fire pump is at operating speed, place check valve (6, FO-38) lever in the on position.

The red gage (11) should read a minimum of 85 psi (59.8 kg/cm ).
(e)
Vacuum gage (12) should read 28 Hg. (inches of vacuum).
