2-99. DRAINING BALLAST TANKS - USING THE FIRE PUMP (Cont).
(4) Aft Engine Room.
(a) Place disconnect switch in the ON position
(b) Press the START switch on the fire pump controller. The fire pump will run.
(c) When the fire pump is at operation speed, rotate suction valve (9) counter-clockwise.
(d) The fire pump pumps water through theeductor and out the overboard discharge valve.
(e) Rotate valve (13) counter-clockwise.
