STOPPING AND STORAGE - PORTABLE FIRE PUMP (Cont).
(11) Release tank pressure by loosening cap (12).
(12) When tank pressure is released, tighten cap (12).
(13) Wrap hose (8) around top of tank.
b. To prepare the portable fire pump for storage, proceed as follows:
(1)
Tilt the fire pump so that the intake is down.
(2)
Tilt back and forth until all water is drained.
(3)
Repeat step 2 several times, each time returning the pump to its base, for about 10 seconds. This will
allow more water to drain internally.
