1. Strike the rear face
cover
of ears on the cover

with a soft hammer to
free cover from dowels.
2. Pull cover straight
off the end of the
crankshaft.
e. Gasket
Remove.
Discard gasket.

Dowels
Remove if necessary.

3. Oil seal
a. Oil
1. Drive the seal out of
Discard oil
(front)
seal
front cover.
seal.

2. Clean seal bore in
the front cover.
